Peacefully, at his home in Highland Grove, on Sunday, July 27, 2008. George Green, in his 78th year, was the beloved husband of Kathy (Vargo) Green, and of the late Lorretta (Downey) Green (1989). Loved father of Brian Green (Mary-Anne), Holly Mulkins (Robert) and the late Richard Green (Darlene). Step father of Cheryl, Ramona, Teena, Gary, Scott and Darlene. Grandfather of John Paul, Brian, Brett, Christopher, Rista-Lee and Richard Jr. Great-grandfather of Summer Lynn, Melissa, Jeremy, Matthew, Victoria, Olivia, Owen, Joseph and Kylee. Brother of Melva Dell (John Van Weeden) and Donald Green (Lan Cheu Lee). Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Denise, Jill, Scott, Leslie, Shelley, David, and Mark. George spent many years in the construction industry in the Niagara Region, and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 179, in Niagara Falls, was a member of the Royal Order of Moose, and was a motorcycle enthusiast. George’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the Harcourt Community Church, Harcourt. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Transfer will then be made to Main Street Baptist Church (Main and Delaware, Niagara Falls) where visitation will take place on Thursday evening 7 – 9 p.m. A Funeral Service for George will take place at Main Street Baptist Church on Friday, August 01, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Fairview Cemetery, Niagara Falls.
