At the Quinte Health Care North Hastings Hospital, Bancroft, on Tuesday, April 02, 2019. Emmett Dillon, age 82 of Maple Leaf, was the beloved husband of Vivian (Olmstead) Dillon. Loved father of Dean Dillon (Deborah) of Courtice, Denver Dillon (Debbie) of Nestleton, Geraldine Moher (Larry) of Port Perry, and Marion Hazzard (Jamie) of Grafton. Loving grandfather of Shannon, Sherri, Jason, Ryan, Jessica, Monica, Katie and Karen. Great-grandfather of Shelby, Alex, Lyxis, Zachary, Luke, Aiden, Emmett, Adam and Mckenna. Brother of Dan, Billy, Mike, Jean, Reta, Shirley, Eunice, and the late George, Marie, Nellie, Bessie, Allan, Eileen, Edward and Anthony. Brother-in-law of Floyd Olmstead (Shirley), Lorne Olmstead and the late Doug Olmstead. Emmett was an employee with General Motors for over 34 years. Emmett’s family will receive relatives and friends at the M.G. Daly Funeral Home (200 Old Hastings Road, Maynooth) on Sunday 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church (53 Hwy 127, Maynooth) on Monday, April 08, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. John Lacey presiding. Interment, Bowmanville Cemetery, Bowmanville.
