Peacefully, at The Ottawa General Hospital, Ottawa, on Sunday, March 25, 2018. Maybelle Parks, age 63, was the beloved wife of Gary Parks of Madawaska. Loving mother of Sandra Courneyea and her husband Jason of Whitney. Loving grandmother of Aiden and Kaylee. Sister of Mary, Jackie, Gertrude, Louis, Phil, Bobby, Leslie and Alex. Sister-in-law of Hazel Switzer, Betty Rutledge and Barb McConnell. Predeceased by her parents Alex and Theresa (Gruntz) Dupuis, and her siblings; Viola, Patty, Billy, Joseph, Morgan and Melvin. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Maybelle owned and operated the Algonquin Lunch Bar in Whitney for many years and will be missed by her many customers and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 09, 2018 at St. Matthews Catholic Church (Hwy#60 Madawaska) at 11:00 a.m. with Father Malachy Ekezie presiding. Interment to follow at St. Matthew’s Catholic Cemetery, Madawaska. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Ottawa Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
