Peacefully, at the Quinte Health Care, North Hastings Hospital, Bancroft, on Saturday, March 22, 2008. Gilbert Crowder, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis (Prieston) Crowder (1995). Father of Dave Hatton and Doug Crowder. Loved grandfather of Melanie Hatton, Dale Armstrong and Ryan Armstrong. Fondly remembered by Dana, Laura and Tammy Graham, Michael, Patricia (St. Denis), Jessica and MacKenzie Graham, Matthew, Kelly (Brandon) and Taylor Graham. Brother-in-law of Mertle Crowder of Cardiff, and Margaret of Shelburne. Uncle of Lloyd Crowder, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Janet Crowder and his brothers and sisters; Florence, Wallace, Donald, Jacob, Angus, Arnold, Gordon, and Kathleen. Gilbert’s family received relatives and friends at the M.G. Daly Funeral Home (200 Old Hastings Road, Maynooth) on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service for Gilbert took place at the funeral home on Thursday, April 03, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, Bancroft, in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society, or Breast Cancer Research would be appreciated by the family.
