Whyte, Milton John

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2018, surrounded by family after a very courageous battle with cancer.  Milton was the beloved husband of Judy (Maxwell) Whyte and loving father of Sheri of Peterborough, Michael, and daughter-in-law Sheri (Throop) of Saskatoon.  He was the proud, adoring Grandpa of Max and Sophia.  Milton was predeceased by his son Mark, his parents Harvey and Alma (Mayhew) Whyte, brothers Evert, Bradley and George, and sisters Delma and Marilyn.  Dear brother of Lewis (Sherry), Murray (Glenda), Harris (Eileen), Edna (Raymond) and Betty (Charlie), and brother-in-law of Joyce(Bernie), Ron (Mary), Howard, Joanne (Jon), Elizabeth (Bill), Gail, Phyllis, Terry and Kristine.  Predeceased by Keith, Donna, and Irving.  Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.  Milton grew up in the Boulter area until moving to Saskatchewan in 1978.  After spending several years there, he decided he wanted to return to Boulter to be closer to family.  Over the years, Milton became a very involved individual in his community.  Milton will be remembered for his friendly nature, his strong work ethic and adventurous spirit.  He enjoyed spending his time working on his farm, travelling around with his horse and buggy, and being surrounded by family and friends.  Milton worked for Carlow-Mayo township for many years as an Equipment Operator.  In earlier years he also owned excavating and septic businesses.  Friends and family are invited to gather at the Bancroft Pentecostal Tabernacle (311 Hastings St. N., Bancroft) on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 1:00 pm, followed by a service at 2:00 pm.  A Celebration of Life will take place at Fort Stewart Community Centre afterwards.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to Carlow United Church would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
