A current resident of McArthurs Mills, Phil passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loving wife Genevieve (nee Oriet).  Born and raised in LaSalle, Phil was the son the late Oswald (1987) and Josephine (2017) Bombardier.  Dear son-in-law to Theophile and Virginia Oriet. Loving father of Rénée Bombardier (Rob Aitkens), Brandy and Jason Allado, Darren and Danielle Bombardier, Angela Belleau (Harry Ramotar), Bobby Belleau, Kevin Bombardier and Ammie Belleau (Theo Caldwell).  Proud Pépé of 10 cherished grandchildren.  Eldest brother of Joe (Donna (2017)), Gene (Pat), Frank, Louis, Sue (Bob Garbula), Jeanine (Steve Schopf), Bern (Gail), Marie (Doug Burke), Rick (Nadine) and Michelle (Carlo Van Staden).  Brother-in-law to Dan (Sue) Oriet, John (Trish) Oriet and Suzanne (Jim Moon).  He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Phil retired from General Motors Transmission Plant in 2009 after 30 years as a pipefitter.  He also worked at Ford Engine Plant for 10 years previously.  A former member of the Sun Parlour Woodcarving Club, Phil had continued to be an avid carver and also taught many students over the years.  Phil will be remembered for his philanthropy, his love of hockey, the outdoors, as a master carpenter and artist.  Philip’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Bancroft Pentecostal Tabernacle (311 Hastings St. N., Bancroft) on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.  A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. Lynn Watson officiating.  A reception will follow in the church hall.  A Mass of Christian Burial will also be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Maidstone, ON on Saturday, November 18, 2017.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice North Hastings would be appreciated by the family.
