March 21, 1938 - March 2, 2017. Passed away peacefully at the Quinte Health Care Belleville on March 2, 2017, in his 78th year. Harold was the much loved husband of Daphne Elizabeth Boone of Cardiff,. He was the best dad to Sharon and her husband Micheal Taaffe of Oshawa, Brenda and Steve Wilson of Brampton, Denise Boone of Bancroft, Jennifer Boone-Gates and her husband Jeffrey Gates of Cardiff and Audrey Boone and her husband Wayne Irwin of Surrey, B.C. He was the most caring and involved Poppy to 2 step-grandchildren, 11 grandchildren and 1 step-great granddaughter: Kayla and Siobhan; Zachary, Jacob and Lucas: Travis and Francis: Madison-Montanna, Bronwyn-Anne, Kenten-Jeffrey and Jayme-Lyn; and Taylor-Lynn and Haylee-Ann and Amelia. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Myrtle and Selby Clarke and his wife Daphne. He is survived by his brothers Roy, Glenn and his wife Anne and his sister Joan and her husband Frank. As well, he was the beloved "dad" to their dear "baby" dog Snowball. Special thanks to dad's friend Sandra Middag who has been there to take him out when he just wanted to go for a coffee, for a drive or to an appointment. Harold will be remembered for his love of wood working, coffee shops, sassy sense of humour, trouble-making spirit, love of the outdoors and his constant sharing of stories and proud moments of all his grandchildren. He was strong worker who provided for his large family of girls. He loved collecting vehicles, such as snowmobiles, ATV's, campers trucks and trailers and enjoyed creating adventures to share with those in his life. In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated and will have his ashes scattered by his girls. A private family gathering was held on March 5th, 2017. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetic Association or for the family care of M.G. Daly Funeral Home, would be most welcome.
