Suddenly, at his home in Highland Grove, on Friday, February 24, 2017. Robert Palmer, age 72, was the beloved husband of Susan Quackenbush) Palmer. Loved step-father of Barb (Ken), Bill (Tammy), Corrina (Peter), Peggy (Julio), Tom (Anne) and George (Shannon). Loved grandfather of 20, and great-grandfather of 31. Brother of William (Sue) of Wisconsin. Robert for many years worked on the railroad, and was also a long-distance hauler. He loved hunting, fishing and enjoyed his family. Cremation has taken place at Lakefield Crematorium. A Celebration of Robert’s Life will take place at the Highland Grove Community Centre, (Loop Road, Highland Grove) on Saturday, March 04, 2017 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
