At the Golden Plough Lodge, Cobourg, on Monday, February 13, 2017. John Meachin, age 94, was the beloved husband of the late Vivienne (Reed) Meachin. Loving father of Reed Alexander (Leni) of Alberta and Caroline Davis (Roger) of Maple Leaf. Loved grandfather of Jennifer, Caitlin, and Tamara. Great-grandfather of Orianna. John’s family will receive relatives and friends at the M.G. Daly Funeral Home (200 Old Hastings Road, Maynooth) on Friday February 17, 2017 from 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 12 Noon with The Rev. Jonathan Kouri officiating. Cremation at Lakefield Crematorium. Interment of John’s Ashes will take place in Bowmanville Cemetery in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Heart & Stroke Foundation or The Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G. Daly Funeral Home, Maynooth.
