At her home, surrounded by her family, on Monday, February 13, 2017. Venia (Keller) McConnell, age 67, was the beloved wife of Francis McConnell of Bancroft. Loving mother of Phyllis Hilts (Kevin) of Tweed, Frank McConnell (Brenda) of Oshawa, Josie Hilts (Brad) of Bancroft, Myrtle McConnell of Bancroft and Arthur McConnell (Beverley) of Millbridge. Loved grandmother of Elizabeth, Madelaine (Norman), Francis (Jennifer), Corey, Marjorie (Jesse), Travis (Alisha), Kayla, Bradley Jr. (Keisha), Joanne, and Ayla (A.J.). Great-grandmother of Austin, Dakota, Angel, John, Miguel, Marie, Norman Jr., Keegan, Toby, Zackery, Brittany, Arron and Dominick. Great great-grandmother of R.J., Lincoln, Bradley, Major, Adelaine, Brittany, Kevin, Devin, and Isabella. Predeceased by Abby-Mae. Sister of Freda (Clifford), Phyllis, Yvonne, Hazel, Art, Joe (Shirley) and Louis. Sister-in-law of Madelaine (James). Survived by many nieces and nephews. A private family visitation will be held at the M.G. Daly Funeral Home (200 Old Hastings Road, Maynooth). Cremation will take place at Lakefield Crematorium. Interment of Venia’s Ashes will take place in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bancroft, in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
