Passed away peacefully, at the Quinte health Care North Hastings Hospital, Bancroft, on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. Edgar Prentice, age 91, was the beloved husband for 63 years, of Remona (Switzer) Prentice of Bancroft. Loving father of Terry (Cathy), Allen (Brenda), and Peter (Kala). Grampa to Ryan (Jolene), Katelyn (Josh), Lance, Andrew (Klarisa), Brittney (Brian) Rowden, Matthew (Wendy) and Jenann (Morgan). Great-grampa to Karalee and Quentin. Son of the late George and Etta (Lavoy) Prentice. Brother of Emma, Ross, Rose Bud Cooke. Predeceased by his brothers Melville and Reg and sisters Dorothy Chalmers and Vivian Plumley. Edgar was known as a logger, farmer and bus driver. Edgar’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Bancroft Bible Chapel (106 Hastings St., N., Bancroft) on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Mitchell officiating.
