Ola (Lee) Pearl Partridge, nee Martin, born to Mary Alice Vardy and George W. Martin, January 1, 1924 in St. Ola, Ontario, the last surviving of ten children. Ola died October 11, 2016, in Bancroft, Ontario at age 92. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Clifford Partridge, in 1989. Mother of Lee-Ann Martin (Paul Hudy), Suzanne Partridge and Scott Partridge (Kippy). Grandmother of Laurianne Bayley, Joel Konrad (Leah) and David Partridge. Great-grandmother of Alexandra Bayley, Aidan Bayley, Eamon Van Der Heide and Isaac Konrad. As a ward of the Children's Aid Society, Ola went to live with Jeannette and Frank Cronk and their son Roy on her beloved Bay of Quinte. At age eighteen she joined the Canadian Women's Army Corps from which she was discharged in 1946. Ola and Cliff raised their three children in Oakville, where she was actively involved in activities in which her children participated. Ola graduated from Quo Vadis nursing school in 1971 and pursued her career in psychiatric nursing in Oakville until she retired at the age of 68. Upon retirement, she returned to her roots and moved to Paudash Lake. Over the years, Ola travelled extensively throughout the world and always had fascinating stories to share. At Ola's request, there will be no service. Donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Association or the Council of Canadians in Ola's honour would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
