It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul John Stringer. After fighting a courageous battle with cancer, Paul passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, March 19th, 2016, at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, Ontario. Paul was born in Bancroft, Ontario. He was the son of the late Gerald and Lorretta Stringer (nee O’Brien). He was the loving husband of Andrea Tarini. Devoted father to Jennifer (Bryan), Rebecca (Troy), Alexandra (Andrew), and Gabrielle. Caring stepfather to Kendra (Jesse) and Julia (Paul). Loving Grandfather to Hayley, Chloe, Cameron, Everett, Wesley and Layla. Forever loved by his siblings Geraldine Stringer (1951), Eleanor Cadeau (the late Bob), Bernice Jenkins (Donald), Allan Stringer (Christine), and Lorne Stringer. Paul retired after 30 years of service with the OPP. He had a passion for building beautiful homes and formed a strong rapport with the friends and clients he worked with. Paul’s favourite thing to do was to spend time with his family and friends at the camp. He loved the simple things in life, but his family always came first. Paul’s family will receive relatives and friends at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Bancroft on Wednesday March 23rd, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon with Father Patrick M. Dobec presiding. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Care Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
