Peacefully, at his home in Maynooth, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, March 03, 2016. Donald Simpson, age 84, was the beloved husband of Millie (Scott) Simpson for 62 years. Loving father of Everett (Nicole) of Sudbury, Rodney (Gail) of Manitoulin Island, Paul (Sue) of Fenelon Falls, Judy (Milt Klatt) of Maynooth, and Roxanne (Carl Stone) of Cambridge. Predeceased by his son Keith Wayne Simpson (1958). Loved grandfather, of 13 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. Son of the late Charles and Gladys (Bassett) Simpson. Brother of Jean Shiels (the late Earl), Fred Simpson (Krystina) and the late Chrissy Simpson. A private family visitation has taken place, with cremation, at Lakefield Crematorium. A Celebration of Don’s life will take place at the Army, Navy, Air Force Club (ANAF Road, Maynooth) on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice North Hastings would be appreciated by the family.
