Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Valley Manor, Barry’s Bay, on Friday, January 01, 2016. Iona (Higgison) Lynch, age 78, of Whitney, was the beloved wife of the late Ben Lynch (2011). Loving mother of Janice Walter (Brad) of Barry’s Bay, Bart Lynch (Janet) of Whitney, Phillip Lynch (late Linda) of Whitney, and Kelvin Lynch (Lisa) of Edmonton. Loved grandmother of Nicole, Derek, Matthew, Amy, Michael, Shannon, (late Benjamin), Quianna, Adam, Cody and Amber. Great-grandmother of Christopher, Ryan, September, Cameron and Ryder. Sister and sister-in-law of John (carol), Frank, Ruby (Pat), Ed (Janet), Marilyn and Emily. Predeceased by Mary, Hazel, Keith and Floyd. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and Ben and Iona’s extended Dumas family and Tom Lillife. Iona’s family will receive relatives and friends at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church (41 Post Street, Whitney) on Sunday evening, January 03, 2016 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. for visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Whitney, on Monday, January 04, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. with Father Moses Nwosu presiding. Interment, St. Martin of Tours Catholic Cemetery, Whitney. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Kidney Foundation or Alzheimer Society of Hastings Prince Edward would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
