At Quinte Health Care North Hastings Hospital, on Thursday, December 31, 2015. Ivan Fowler, age 85 of Paudash, was the beloved husband of Vera (Carley) Fowler. Loving father of Lyn Morand (Mike), Jackie Fowler, and Randy (Connie) Fowler. Loving grandfather of Sarah, Katie, Christopher, Dustin, Curtis and Kendra. Great-grandfather of Akisha, Alexa, Jordan and the late Christopher Ivan Beach (2012). Son of the late Harold and Sarah (Bowes) Fowler and brother of the late Marjorie Beers and the late Cecil Fowler. Brother-in-law of Eva Quibell (Murray), Mary Griffin and the late Norm Carley. Fondly missed by his nieces, nephews and many friends. Ivan was the Reeve of Herschel Township for over 20 years, and County Warden 1984 -1985. He was the owner of Fowler Coach Lines 1958 - 1975, and Bancroft Bargain Barn 1972 -1982. Ivan’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Bancroft Pentecostal Tabernacle (311 Hastings Street N., Bancroft) on Tuesday, January 05, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. with Celebrant Susanne Hedley presiding. A Luncheon will follow at Faraday Community Centre (Hwy 28S and Lower Faraday Road). Interment, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bancroft, in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice North Hastings, Canadian Cancer Society or a Charity of Choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
