At Hastings Centennial Manor, Bancroft, on Friday, November 20, 2015. Douglas Smith, age 87 was the husband of Luella (Watt) Smith of Maynooth. Loving father of Karen Marden (Glenn) of Brougham, David Smith (Josephine) of Ajax, Rodney Smith (Elizabeth) of Ajax and Kevin Smith (Kim) of Kirkfield. Grandfather of Tyler, Alicia, Dylan, Drake, Derek, Hailey and Austin. Son of the late Frederick and Bessie (Latchford) Smith. Brother of Orville Smith of Belleville, Allan Smith (Maggie) of Sudbury, and the late Norman Smith. Brother-in-law of Shirley Livingston (Cuthbert), Audrey Watt, Lorraine Kelly, Elvin Watt (Diane), Vern Watt (Marion) and Elizabeth Watt. Predeceased by Verna McCormack, Gerald Watt, James Watt and Murray Watt. Doug’s family will receive relatives and friends at the M.G. Daly Funeral Home (200 Old Hastings Road, Maynooth) on Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike West officiating. Cremation has taken place at Lakefield Crematorium. Interment of Doug’s Cremated Remains in Belleville Cemetery at a later date.
