Peacefully, at St. Francis Memorial Hospital, Barry’s Bay, on Monday, November 17, 2014. Garry Florent, age 75 of Madawaska, was the beloved husband of Joan (August) Florent. Loving father of Kim Florent (Janice), Laurie Barnes (Bill), June Clouthier (Wade), and Steve Aleck (Amanda). Loved grandfather of Tyler, Angela, John, Miranda, Matthew, Michelle, Mark, Katie and Will. Great-grandfather of Madison, Mackenzie, Makayla, Michael, Emma, Savaya, Landen, Carmella, Stirling and Ayden. Brother of Algreta, and predeceased by his brothers Ron, Eugene, Romeo, Hector and Alfred. Garry’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Madawaska Community Centre (Major Lake Road, Madawaska) on Friday evening 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Visitation will also take place on Saturday morning 10:00 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Matthew The Apostle Catholic Church (Hwy #60, Madawaska) on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Father Moses Nwosu presiding. Cremation will follow at Lakefield Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Francis Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
