Peacefully, at Quinte Health Care North Hastings Hospital on Friday, November 14, 2014. Rose States, age 80 years, of Whitney, was the beloved spouse of the late Arthur States. Daughter of the late Arthur and Yvonne (Gratton) Middleton. Survived by her sister Leona McClenny of Brooklyn, and her brothers Albert (Faith) Middleton of Keene and Lawrence Middleton of New Lowell. Predeceased by her brother Armon, infant sister Claudia, brother in-law Bill McClenny and sister-in-law Henni Middleton. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many friends. Rose’s family will receive relatives and friends at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church (10 Post St., Whitney) on Sunday 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Moses Nwosu presiding. Interment St. Martin of Tours Catholic Cemetery, Whitney. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
