Peacefully, at his home in Maynooth, the 9th week after Pentecost, on Friday, August 03, 2007. Edward George Hackbusch, age 75 of Maynooth, was the loving father of Anne (Alec) McEwan of Arnprior, Christian (Bill Lamont) of RR#1 Oxford Mills, James of Ottawa, The Rev. Michael (Sarah) of Waterloo, and Rebekah of Ottawa. Loved grandfather of Bill (Elizabeth), Danielle, and Deborah Whittall, Aaron, Sabastian, Aiyana Hackbusch, Mandy, Joe and Mike McEwan, and Venessa Pinto. Loved great-grandfather of 5. Predeceased by his beloved wife Joyce Marion McCormack (2006). (sep.) Edward served at Maynooth-Raglan Parish 1958-1963, Trinity in Walkerton 1963-1966, Holy Cross in Burlington 1966-1972, St. John’s in Arnprior 1972-1979, St. Matthew’s in Hanover 1979-1990, and Mount Calvery in Ottawa 1990-1996.Edward’s family will receive relatives and friends at the M.G. Daly Funeral Home, 200 Old Hastings Rd., Maynooth, on Tuesday 2 – 4 & 7- 9 p.m. and on Wednesday 11 – 1 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at Christ Lutheran Church (Hwy 62N., Maynooth) on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Interment Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, Maynooth. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Waterloo Lutheran Seminary or E.L.C.I.C’s Global Hunger Development Appeal, would be appreciated by the family.
