Peacefully, at Quinte Health Care North Hastings Hospital, Bancroft, on Thursday, September 21, 2023.  Gail Halonen, age 68 of Lake St. Peter, was the beloved wife of Verne Halonen.  Loving mother of Jenna Garner and her husband Jamie of London.  Loved grandmother of Owen and Kaylie.  Gail was born in London and was the daughter of Geraldine Manning (Howard) and the late Robert Manning.  Gail worked as a sign writer for Gould Outdoor in London and a stock keeper at Meridian in Strathroy  for many years.  Gail and Verne retired up to Lake St. Peter, and in recent years she was a very familiar face at the LCBO in Maynooth.  She always had a smile, was very outgoing and friendly with everyone she met, and will be sadly missed by all.  At Gail’s request there will be no visitation or funeral services.  Cremation has taken place.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Maynooth & Area Foodbank would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
