It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a Gentle Giant. Garth Bowers passed away on Friday, September 1st, 2023, at the age of 25. He was a new uncle, a loving brother, and an amazing son. He will be greatly missed by his father Robert Bowers, his mother and stepfather Deidre (McLaughlin) and Michael Evegroen, his brother and sister-in-law Wesley and Meaghan (Todd) Bowers and his new niece Isla Rae Bowers. He will be greatly missed by his friends and extended family The Lads and the Glue Crew, his surviving grandmother Phyllis McLaughlin (Nason), and by many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Ontario and New Brunswick. We would like to say a special thank you to uncles Kenny Bowers and Johnny Bowers at this difficult time. A private family visitation took place followed by cremation. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Garth’s family would like to invite everyone for a Celebration of Garth’s Life on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Millennium Park, Bancroft at 1:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Bancroft Minor Football Team (The T-Hawks) would be appreciated by the family.
